The Beit Strathclyde Scholarships 2025 are designed to fully fund one outstanding student from Malawi, Zimbabwe, or Zambia to pursue a Master's degree in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Strathclyde. The scholarship covers both tuition fees and living costs for the entire duration of the course.

Application Requirements:

  • Applicants must be residents of Malawi, Zimbabwe, or Zambia.

  • A good Engineering degree from a recognized university is required.

  • Applicants must demonstrate leadership potential and a commitment to returning to their home country after the program.

  • You must hold an offer for a Master’s degree at one of the eight departments in the Faculty of Engineering (e.g., Architecture, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, etc.).

Scholarship Value:

  • Full tuition fees and living costs are covered.

  • The scholarship also includes economy-class return airfare and allowances for other essentials like laptop, medical coverage, and departure costs.

    Application Documents

    Here is the list of documents required to apply for the Beit Strathclyde Scholarship:

    1. A signed Medical Certificate Form: This needs to be completed by a doctor before starting the application process. You can download the form from the Beit Trust website.

    2. A copy of the university offer letter: This should be from a UK Partner University, or a PDF detailing the universities and courses you plan to apply for if applying to South African institutions.

    3. Degree results: Include your certificates and full transcripts of your previous academic qualifications.

    4. Curriculum Vitae (CV): Updated and tailored to highlight your academic and professional experience.

    5. A personal statement: A brief (up to 500 words) explanation of how you believe a postgraduate degree will contribute to the development of your home country.

    6. A clear recent photograph: This should be a good-quality photo that shows you to your best advantage (not a passport photo).

    7. A copy of your valid passport: Ensure it is valid for the duration of your studies and has sufficient blank pages for visa and travel stamps.

    Make sure to have all documents ready before starting the application, as the process cannot be saved and resumed later.
